A8 Closures – Resurfacing & drainage works
Diversions will be in place for some airport traffic during a programme of overnight road closures on the A8.
The eastbound stretch of the A8 will be closed from the Ingliston interchange slip-road to the Gogar Roundabout between 19:30 and 06:30 Monday to Friday, starting on Monday, September 16.
This is while road resurfacing and drainage works are carried out by the City of Edinburgh Council. These closures will run until October 25th and works will then continue in phases, with different sections of the road impacted before the project completes mid-March 2025.
Parking customers to and from the airport during the works are urged to plan ahead and follow the diversions put in place by the local authority.

- Approaching Edinburgh airport from the East or West on the A8 Glasgow Road, take the exit for Edinburgh airport/Park and Ride
- Navigate the dual roundabout onto Eastfield Road, following signs for Edinburgh airport and avoiding the immediate turn to the left (this is a different car park)
- Drive down Eastfield Road for 0.1 mile and turn left at the next roundabout (you'll see our bright yellow NCP sign at the car park entrance)
- Drive up the side road to our car park and turn left for Car Park 1 Premium or right for Car Park 2
- If using a sat nav, enter Eastfield Road and our shared postcode EH28 8LS

Late Return Protection terms and conditions
- This booking entitles you to Late Return Protection of up to 12 hours after your booked exit time
- This booking can only be amended, cancelled or refunded up to 2 hours before arrival
- Vehicle and contact details can be amended up to 2 hours before at no extra charge
- A standard pre-booked stay allows one entry and one exit
- If you overstay in the car park you will be liable for an additional charge. The amount you'll be charged will be based on the car park tariff board.

For your convenience we have automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) in operation at this car park. If you have pre-booked a space with us you no longer need to push for a ticket. Our cameras will read your number plate and issue a ticket automatically.
If you experience difficulty and have pre-booked with us please don’t push the button for a ticket, just push the help button and a member of our customer services team will assist you.

Leaving the car park
If you have pre-booked your space with us drive to the exit barrier and insert your ticket for your parking to be validated. Once validated, the barrier will raise. If the barrier doesn't raise, please press the assistance button.
If you did not pre-book your space with us, please take the ticket you collected at the entry barrier to one of our payment machines, insert your ticket and we’ll work out how much your parking is. You can pay using cash, credit or debit card. On arrival at the exit barrier please insert your ticket and the barrier will raise allowing you to leave.
