A8 Closures – Resurfacing & drainage works

Diversions will be in place for some airport traffic during a programme of overnight road closures on the A8.

 

The eastbound stretch of the A8 will be closed from the Ingliston interchange slip-road to the Gogar Roundabout between 19:30 and 06:30 Monday to Friday, starting on Monday, September 16.

 

This is while road resurfacing and drainage works are carried out by the City of Edinburgh Council. These closures will run until October 25th and works will then continue in phases, with different sections of the road impacted before the project completes mid-March 2025.

 

Parking customers to and from the airport during the works are urged to plan ahead and follow the diversions put in place by the local authority.

Directions

Directions to our car park

  • Approaching Edinburgh airport from the East on the A8 Glasgow Road, take the exit for Edinburgh airport/Park and Ride.
  • Navigate the dual roundabout onto Eastfield Road, and take the first left turn to PremiAir.
  • Approaching Edinburgh airport from the West on the A8 Glasgow Road, take the exit for Edinburgh airport/Park and Ride, then take the first slip road to the left.
  • For both East and West approaches, drive up the side road, at the next roundabout and turn left for Car Park 1 or right for Car Park 2 Premium.
  • If using a sat nav, enter Eastfield Road and our shared postcode EH28 8LS.

Bus transfer time: 5 minutes

Our free shuttle bus service runs approximately every 15 minutes and will take you to the airport terminal coach park in approximately 5 minutes.

Returning to our car park after your trip

Our return service departs from Coach Park Stand 8 (the same place we dropped you off).

Premium Parking

We offer 260 extra wide spaces in car park 2 for larger vehicles. It’s perfect for larger vehicles that need extra space or for families who need extra space for peace of mind.

Upon arrival

For your convenience we have automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) in operation at this car park. If you have pre-booked a space with us you no longer need to push for a ticket. Our cameras will read your number plate and issue a ticket automatically. 

If you roll up and did not pre-book, please press for a ticket. You will need to pay at one of our payment machines on your return.

If you experience difficulty and have pre-booked with us please don’t push the button for a ticket, just push the help button and a member of our customer services team will assist you. 

Getting to the terminal

Leaving the car park

If you have pre-booked your space with us drive to the exit barrier and insert your ticket for your parking to be validated. Once validated, the barrier will raise. If the barrier doesn't raise, please press the assistance button.

If you did not pre-book your space with us, please take the ticket you collected at the entry barrier to one of our payment machines, insert your ticket and we’ll work out how much your parking is.  You can pay using credit and debit card. On arrival at the exit barrier please insert your ticket and the barrier will raise allowing you to leave.

1.     The offer is only valid for PremiAir Edinburgh Parking NCP .

2.     The offer code NCP15PAOFF is valid for entry until 13th April 2025 inclusive.

3.     Code NCP15PAOFF is valid for new bookings only made until 23.59 Wednesday 12th February 2025.

4.     The booking is fully refundable, cancellable and amendable, up to 2 hours before the booking start time for PremiAir Edinburgh Parking NCP.

5.     The codes cannot be used in conjunction with a fixed rate product or any already discounted product.
