Parking for Cardiff Castle
Cardiff Castle boasts more than 2,000 years of history, with its Norman motte and bailey built on top of a Roman fort, before various medieval additions were added while the castle was under repeated attack during the medieval period. Home to the Marquesses of Bute from 1776, it was turned into the current “fairytale” castle before being given to the people of Cardiff in 1947.
Parking for Cardiff Castle
Cardiff Castle is easy to find in the City Centre, which you can get to from Junction 32 of the M4 via the A470. You’ll find a number of NCP car parks are very close to the castle.
- Cardiff Westgate car park is only a stone’s throw - or perhaps that should be catapult - from the castle entrance.
- Cardiff Greyfriars - Another good site from which to storm the imposing castle walls, you’ll be able to park in one of 244 spaces.
