Glasgow
Parking in Glasgow
Ironically, the name ‘Glasgow’ is Celtic for ‘dear green place’, despite the city itself conjuring images of heavy industry and urban development. It was once officially the Second City of the Empire, and its former great prosperity and civic prestige is reflected in the remains of its proud industrial heritage. There’s plenty of NCP Glasgow car parking space available when you come to explore this endlessly fascinating metropolis.
Points of interest
Modern Glasgow is a city of great contrasts, with the West End being the more affluent region. It’s here that you’ll find the city’s main museums and galleries. The East End has its attractions too, however, including the popular weekend market, nicknamed ‘the Barras’. The famous Burrell collection of art and sculpture is to be found south of the river in Pollok Country Park, and there’s plenty of Glasgow NCP parking to be had in the area, and it’s pre-bookable too, so you can plan your visit without worrying about finding parking spaces in this busy city.
