Preston is the largest city in Lancashire, and has been a key port and trading centre for centuries. It’s a friendly, busy city, and is now also a centre for education, with the University of Lancashire campus in the middle of the city. Parking can be a challenge, especially during busy times such as Christmas, and the centrally located NCP car park at Church Street, is perfect if you’re visiting the city for a spot of retail therapy.
Points of interest
Preston has more than its fair share of museums, most of which are within easy walking distance of NCP Church Street car park. Lovers of the ‘beautiful game’ will make a beeline to see Preston North End FC play at home, while if your interest envelopes all things military then head to the Queens Lancashire Regiment Museum, the largest military heritage centre in the north west of England.
