Head here in August and you’ll catch the Worthing Birdman competition, where the foolhardy or just plain foolish fling themselves off Worthing Pier in an attempt to ‘fly’ the furthest while wearing a series of increasingly bizarre costumes. During June and July the Worthing Open Houses event sees around 45 homes turned into art galleries, showing local crafts and artwork.
